Overview
The Parker BHE is a high-grade, side-by-side, break-action double-barreled shotgun from Parker Brothers, America's most celebrated double-gun maker. The 'B' denotes the fifth-from-top B grade in Parker's hierarchy, the 'H' marks the hammerless boxlock action, and the 'E' indicates automatic ejectors fitted as a standard feature. A custom-ordered gun, the BHE was built with fine Circassian walnut, detailed fleur-de-lis panel engraving, gold shield and grip cap, and Titanic, Acme, or Damascus barrels, making it one of the most desirable of the regularly cataloged Parker grades.

Notes
Parker hammerless shotguns were graded by quality (Trojan, VH, GH, DH, CH, BH, AH, AAH, A-1 Special, Invincible). BHE is the ejector-equipped B grade, ranking fifth from the top. Only about 1,034 B-grade hammerless guns were produced. Production passed to Remington in 1934, which continued Parker guns until about 1942.
Background
Parker Brothers earned the nickname 'Old Reliable', and its high-grade B guns, with their fleur-de-lis engraving, gold inlays, and fancy Circassian walnut, are among the most coveted American doubles by collectors today.
