Overview
The Parker Brothers GH is a side-by-side, break-action double-barreled shotgun and a mid-grade offering in Parker's celebrated hammerless line. Sitting a step above the field-grade VH, the GH ('G' grade, 'H' for hammerless) featured better wood, light engraving on its boxlock action, and was commonly chambered in 12 gauge with twin triggers and a top lever. Early guns wore Damascus barrels while later production used fluid (Titanic) steel; an ejector-fitted version was sold as the GHE. It embodied the quality and craftsmanship that made Parker 'America's finest' double-gun maker.

Notes
Parker Brothers shotguns were graded by quality (Trojan, VH/PH, GH, DH, CH, BH, AH, A-1 Special, Invincible); the GH is grade 2, one step above the field-grade VH. Original retail was about $80, with roughly $25 extra for automatic ejectors (GHE). Production passed to Remington in 1934, which continued making Parker guns until about 1942.
Background
Nicknamed 'Old Reliable', Parker Brothers built the most revered American side-by-side shotguns, and a GH-grade double—with its lightly engraved boxlock and fine walnut—remains a coveted piece among Parker collectors today.
