Parker-Hale Ltd · Rifle · Discontinued · 1968
Also known as: Parker-Hale Model 1200, Parker-Hale 1200 Deluxe
Overview
The Parker-Hale 1200 is a British bolt-action sporting rifle introduced in the late 1960s and built around a commercial Mauser 98-pattern action supplied by Santa Barbara of Spain. Chambered most commonly in .308 Winchester, it features a 597 mm barrel, a four-round internal box magazine with hinged floorplate, and a hand-checkered walnut stock with a rollover cheekpiece and rosewood grip cap and forend tip. Marketed in standard and Deluxe forms, it became one of the most popular British hunting rifles of its era, valued for the strength and reliability of its classic controlled-feed Mauser action.
