Overview
The Parker SA Single Barrel Trap is a single-shot, break-action shotgun built by Parker Brothers for competitive trap shooting. Introduced in 1917, it is a hammerless boxlock chambered in 12 gauge, fitted with a full-choke ventilated-rib barrel, an automatic ejector, and a trap-style walnut stock. The SA designation marks one of the higher grades in Parker's single-barrel-trap range, distinguished by finer steel, upgraded wood, and more elaborate hand engraving than the entry SC and SB grades.

Notes
Parker single-barrel trap guns were offered in ascending grades SC, SB, SA and SAA (the rarest). Only around 1,900 single-barrel trap guns of all grades were built between 1917 and Parker's absorption into Remington and eventual end of production in 1942. Barrels were most commonly 32 inches, with 30- and 34-inch options; early barrels were marked with the steel type (Titanic or Acme).
Background
Parker Brothers, founded in Meriden, Connecticut, is widely regarded as the maker of the finest American shotguns, producing roughly 242,000 guns between 1867 and 1942. The single-barrel trap gun, added to the line in 1917, was Parker's dedicated answer to the growing sport of trapshooting.
