Overview
The Parker Brothers VH is a side-by-side, break-action double-barreled shotgun and the field-grade entry in Parker's hammerless line. The 'V' grade used Vulcan fluid-steel barrels and the 'H' denotes the hammerless boxlock action; most were 12-gauge with twin triggers and a top lever. Plain in finish but built on Parker's renowned action, the VH was the affordable workhorse of America's most celebrated double-gun maker.

Notes
Parker Brothers shotguns were graded by quality (Trojan, VH, GH, DH, ... A-1 Special); VH sits near the bottom of the hammerless range. Production passed to Remington in 1934, which continued Parker guns until about 1942.
Background
Parker Brothers was so revered that the firm became known as 'Old Reliable', and even its plainest field-grade VH double is prized by collectors today as a genuine American 'Parker gun'.
