Overview
The Pedersoli Charles Moore Duelling Pistol is a single-shot, muzzleloading flintlock pistol chambered for the .45 caliber patched round ball. It is a faithful reproduction of an early 19th-century English duelling and target pistol built by the London gunmaker Charles Moore. The pistol features an octagonal rifled barrel with a hooked breech, a checkered walnut half-stock, color-casehardened lock and furniture, and an adjustable single-set trigger prized by competitive muzzleloading target shooters.

Also offered by Pedersoli in a percussion ignition version and in a .44 smoothbore configuration. The .45 caliber flintlock model has a rifled barrel intended for precision target work.
Background
The original Charles Moore duelling pistols were made in London in the early 1800s, when the code duello demanded matched pairs of accurate, fast-handling flintlock pistols. Pedersoli's reproduction preserves the slim, balanced lines and set trigger that made such pistols favored on the field of honour and, later, on the target range.
