Overview
The Pedersoli Navy Moll is a single-shot, muzzleloading flintlock pistol chambered for the .45 caliber patched round ball. It reproduces an early American holster pistol in the style of the Moll family of Pennsylvania gunsmiths active between the late 1700s and early 1800s. The pistol features a rifled blued steel barrel with twelve grooves and a 1:18 twist, a maple half-stock colored and finished according to traditional American formulas, a color case-hardened lock, and a decorative brass butt cap that lends the piece its period character.

Notes
Cataloged by Davide Pedersoli in two ignition versions: the flintlock model (Ref. 020S354450 / product code S354) and a percussion model (product code S353). Both are chambered in .45 caliber with a rifled barrel intended for target shooting and historical re-enactment.
Background
The Moll family were prominent Pennsylvania longrifle and pistol makers of Northampton County, working from the mid-1700s into the 1800s. Pedersoli's Navy Moll captures the coloured maple stock and brass-mounted styling that distinguished these early American Kentucky-pattern pistols.
