Overview
The Pedersoli Rolling Block Long Range Creedmoor is a single-shot breechloading rifle built on a reproduction of the classic Remington rolling block action by the Italian firm Davide Pedersoli & C. Chambered for large black-powder cartridges such as the .45-90 Sharps and .45-70 Government, it is designed for long-range black-powder target shooting in the Creedmoor tradition and for big-game hunting. The rifle features a 30-inch octagonal blued barrel with six-groove rifling and a 1:18 twist, a color case-hardened action and furniture, and a checkered walnut pistol-grip stock. It comes fitted with a Creedmoor-style adjustable tang sight and a tunnel front sight, replicating the equipment used by the 19th-century match shooters who competed at the Creedmoor range on Long Island.
