Overview
The Perazzi MX12 is a 12-gauge over-and-under break-action competition shotgun made by the Italian gunmaker Perazzi Armi. Derived from the company's famous MX8, the MX12 is built around a fixed action lock with coil springs and a non-removable single selective trigger group, distinguishing it from the detachable-trigger MX8. Aimed at game and sporting clay disciplines, it is offered with a range of barrel lengths and interchangeable chokes on a flat parallel rib, and like all Perazzi guns is extensively customisable to the individual shooter.

Notes
The MX12 differs from the MX8 chiefly in its fixed (non-removable) trigger group with coil springs and its fixed action lock; the MX8 uses a drop-out trigger. Barrel lengths are offered from roughly 26 3/4 inches up to 34 inches for competition versions.
Background
Perazzi was founded in 1957 by Daniele Perazzi, whose collaboration with shooter Ennio Mattarelli produced the MX8 for the 1968 Mexico City Olympics. The MX12 grew out of that lineage as a fixed-trigger sporting and game variant, and Perazzi over-and-unders have since become among the most prized competition shotguns in the world.
