Overview
The Perazzi MX2000 is a high-grade Italian over/under competition shotgun chambered in 12 gauge, built for the clay target disciplines of trap, double trap and Olympic trap. Introduced in 2000 as the successor to the long-running MX8 platform, it pairs Perazzi's signature drop-out (removable) trigger group with an adjustable five-notch ventilated rib and adjustable point of impact, allowing shooters to fine-tune the gun's pattern placement. Each gun is hand-fitted with a custom-made walnut stock and beavertail forend, and is offered with fixed or interchangeable chokes across barrel lengths from roughly 30 to 35 inches.

Sub-variants in the MX2000 line (MX2000/3, MX2000/8, MX2000/10, MX2000S, MX2000/RS) differ mainly in rib type, trigger group and intended discipline. Several use an 'unsingle' single-barrel trap configuration. Barrels are commonly offered in 32, 34 and 35 inch lengths.
