The Pietta 1836 Paterson is a faithful reproduction of Samuel Colt's first commercially produced revolver, the Colt Paterson. Originally patented in 1836, the Paterson was revolutionary as the first practical repeating firearm. Pietta's reproduction captures the distinctive features: a retractable trigger that only appears when the hammer is cocked, a five-shot cylinder in .36 caliber, and an octagonal barrel. Available in standard and Super Deluxe finishes.
