Overview

The Pindad G2 Elite is an Indonesian-designed and manufactured 9x19mm semi-automatic pistol produced by state-owned defense firm PT Pindad. Introduced in 2011 alongside the G2 Combat as part of the second-generation Pindad pistol line, the Elite variant features an extended 127mm barrel and adjustable rear sight intended for target shooting and precision use, distinguishing it from the shorter-barreled service-oriented G2 Combat. The pistol uses a conventional short-recoil action with a single-action-only trigger and 15-round detachable box magazine.

Notes

The G2 Elite shares its core mechanism with other G2-series Pindad pistols. It is intended for competition and precision shooting roles within Indonesian military and police inventories.

Background

Pindad's G2 series marked Indonesia's effort to field a fully indigenous service pistol after decades of relying on Western imports such as the Browning Hi-Power, with the Elite variant tailored specifically for the Indonesian military marksmanship teams competing in regional ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (AARM) shooting events.
