Overview
The POF MP5 is a 9x19mm submachine gun produced by Pakistan Ordnance Factories under license from Heckler & Koch. A faithful copy of the German MP5, it uses the roller-delayed blowback operating system firing from a closed bolt, which gives it exceptional accuracy and controllability for a weapon in its class. Built largely from stamped steel with a retractable stock, it serves Pakistani military and law enforcement units in close-quarters and protective roles.

Notes
Produced by POF as part of its long-standing licensed manufacture of Heckler & Koch designs, which also includes the G3 battle rifle. The MP5 retains the original's fixed barrel and drum-type rear sight.
Background
Pakistan Ordnance Factories became one of the most prolific licensed producers of Heckler & Koch small arms outside Germany, building the G3 rifle in vast numbers and adding the compact MP5 for police and special-operations use.
