Polymer80 PFS9
Polymer80, Inc. · Pistol · Discontinued · 2020
Also known as: P80 PFS9, PFS9 Full Size
Overview
The Polymer80 PFS9 is a factory-assembled, serialized full-size striker-fired pistol built on Polymer80's PF940v2-derived reinforced polymer frame and chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum. Unlike the company's signature 80-percent build kits, the PFS9 ships as a complete, ready-to-shoot firearm. It pairs a 4.49-inch nitride-finished stainless steel barrel and slide with the ergonomic P80 frame featuring an aggressive grip texture, 18-degree (1911-style) grip angle, double-undercut trigger guard, extended beavertail and thumb ledge. A flat-faced polymer trigger, front and rear angled slide serrations and full accessory rail round out a Glock-17-compatible platform that accepts standard Glock-pattern magazines. The PFS9 delivers 17+1 capacity in a full-size duty footprint.

Background
Polymer80 was founded in 2013 in Dayton, Nevada by Loran Kelley Jr. and David Borges, rising to prominence as the dominant maker of 80-percent unfinished pistol frames that let hobbyists legally build their own Glock-pattern handguns at home. The company became a flashpoint in the 'ghost gun' debate; following years of regulatory and legal pressure under ATF Final Rule 2021R-05F, Polymer80 ceased operations in 2024.
