Overview

The Proof Research Switch is a precision bolt-action rifle built around a user-swappable switch-barrel system. Using a Savage-style barrel nut together with an interchangeable floating bolt head, a shooter can change calibers or barrel profiles in the field, moving between cartridges such as .223 Remington, 6mm Creedmoor, 6.5 Creedmoor, .260 Remington and .308 Winchester. It pairs Proof Research's signature carbon-fiber-wrapped barrel with a pillar-bedded carbon-fiber stock, a tuned TriggerTech trigger, AICS-pattern magazines and a 20 MOA Picatinny rail, and carries a half-MOA accuracy guarantee.

Notes

The Switch's defining feature is its multi-caliber, switch-barrel design that lets owners reconfigure the rifle around a single action. Specifications listed reflect a typical 6.5 Creedmoor configuration with a 24-inch barrel; barrel lengths, contours and twist rates vary by chambering.

Background

Proof Research made its name building carbon-fiber-wrapped barrels that shed weight without sacrificing rigidity, and the Switch extended that engineering into a complete rifle whose barrel and caliber can be changed by the owner in the field.
