Overview
The PTR The Jack SBS FS is a 12-gauge short-barrelled pump-action shotgun announced in July 2026, with a 7.25-inch barrel and a 2+1 capacity. It transfers as an NFA short-barrelled shotgun on a Form 4 and ships with both a full stock and a pistol grip so the buyer can configure it as a compact defensive shotgun or a bare-grip breaching tool.

Background
Short-barrelled shotguns were taxed into near-extinction by the 1934 National Firearms Act. When the $200 stamp went to zero on 1 January 2026, factory SBS models like The Jack appeared within months.
