Q Sugar Weasel

Q, LLC · Carbine · In Production · 2020

Also known as: Sugar Weasel

Overview

The Q Sugar Weasel is a lightweight, no-frills direct-impingement AR-15 chambered in 5.56 NATO, distilling the design philosophy of Q's Honey Badger into a more accessible, purpose-built carbine. It pairs a tapered, threaded stainless barrel (1/2-28) with an M-LOK handguard, adjustable low-profile gas block, two-piece bolt carrier group, Q's two-stage cassette trigger, and a Cherry Bomb muzzle brake on an M16-spec receiver set. Offered in a 16-inch rifle and a 13-inch braced pistol, the Sugar Weasel is engineered to be cheap-to-build relative to the rest of the line while retaining Q's suppressor-host DNA.

Background

Q's product names lean into absurdist humor - the Sugar Weasel slots alongside the Honey Badger, Trash Panda, and Cherry Bomb in founder Kevin Brittingham's deliberately irreverent naming scheme.
