Overview
The QSW-06 (also known as the Type 06) is a Chinese integrally-suppressible semi-automatic pistol developed between 2002 and 2005 and adopted by the People's Liberation Army in 2006 to replace the obsolete Type 67 silenced pistol. It is chambered for the proprietary 5.8x21mm DAP-92 round and a dedicated DCV-05 subsonic load, and shares roughly 60% of its parts with the standard-issue QSZ-92 service pistol. The detachable multi-baffle suppressor screws onto the threaded muzzle and is around 200 mm long.

Notes
Unlike the QSZ-92 it shares parts with, the QSW-06 uses a non-rotating locked-breech action rather than a rotating barrel, which is more compatible with a screw-on suppressor. Issued primarily to special operations and reconnaissance units.
Background
The QSW-06 replaced the curiosity-piece Type 67 silenced pistol, whose 7.62x17mm subsonic round was dimensionally unique and impossible to logistically support outside China - meaning Chinese SOF using a Type 67 abroad effectively had no resupply.
