Overview
The Radian AX556 is a fully ambidextrous, multi-caliber AR-15 pattern rifle lower receiver machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminum. It serves as the serialized foundation of a 5.56x45mm NATO AR-15 rifle and features fully mirrored controls, including ambidextrous safety selectors, magazine release, and bolt release. Its patented A-DAC (Ambidextrous Dual Action Catch) lets a right-handed shooter lock the bolt to the rear without repositioning the firing hand, and a Self-Adjusting Receiver Tensioner (SART) plunger removes upper-to-lower wobble. It is the receiver used at the heart of Radian's Model 1 rifle.

Background
Radian Weapons of Redmond, Oregon grew out of the AXTS Weapons brand known for the Raptor ambidextrous charging handle; the AX556 receiver and Model 1 rifle carry that ambidextrous design philosophy through the whole platform.
