Overview
The Remington 7600 is an American pump-action centerfire rifle produced from 1981 to 2020. A modernized successor to the Model 760 Gamemaster, it pairs a slide (pump) action with a rotating bolt that locks into the barrel for strong, repeatable lockup. Fed from a 4-round detachable box magazine and most often chambered in .30-06 Springfield, the 7600 was popular as a fast-cycling hunting rifle, especially in regions where pump and lever actions are favored, and a hardened patrol-rifle version was offered to law enforcement.
