Overview
The Remington Defense CSR (Concealable Sniper Rifle), nicknamed the 'Rucksack Rifle,' is a compact, modular bolt-action sniper weapon system designed to be broken down and carried in a standard backpack or discreet carrying case. Chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO, the CSR features a Proof Research carbon fiber-wrapped barrel with 5/8x24 threading for suppressor compatibility. The rifle can be disassembled into components all shorter than 16.5 inches and reassembled in under one minute with perfect zero retention, making it an ideal platform for covert precision shooting operations where the rifle must be transported without detection.

Notes
The CSR uses the Remington Arms Chassis System (RACS) and Accuracy International pattern magazines. The Proof Research carbon fiber-wrapped barrel provides match-grade accuracy while significantly reducing weight compared to a traditional steel barrel. The FAB Defense folding pistol grip further reduces the stowed dimensions. All major components can be disassembled to fit within a 16.5-inch maximum dimension, allowing the complete system to be carried in the optional discreet carrying pack. The threaded muzzle accepts a wide range of .30-caliber suppressors, and the rifle is specifically designed to maintain zero after repeated assembly and disassembly cycles.
Background
The CSR earned its 'Rucksack Rifle' nickname from its ability to fit entirely inside a standard military rucksack or civilian backpack. Designed for operators who need to arrive at a location without revealing they are carrying a precision rifle, the CSR bridges the gap between covert infiltration and long-range engagement capability.
