Retay Gordion Waterfowl

The Retay Gordion Waterfowl is the flagship of Retay Arms' inertia-driven semi-automatic shotgun line, built around the company's patented Inertia Plus operating system. Where conventional inertia guns can be jarred out of battery by a knock to the bolt, the Gordion's rotating bolt is held closed by a patented rollover internal torsion spring, eliminating the click-no-bang failures that plague the basic Benelli-style inertia design. The single-piece receiver is machined entirely from aerospace-grade 7075 aluminum with no plastic internal components, and the barrel is deep-bore drilled dead-straight with a factory-lengthened forcing cone that Retay claims delivers roughly 20 percent more pellets on target. Chambered for 3-inch shells in both 12 and 20 gauge, the Gornion Waterfowl ships with a TruGlo fiber-optic bead, an 8mm vented rib, a removable ejector, a push-button detachable trigger group, a shim kit for adjusting drop and cast, and five MaraPro interchangeable choke tubes. A left-hand 12-gauge configuration is offered alongside the standard right-hand guns. Manufactured in Konya, Turkey, the Gordion brought Retay's inertia technology to the value-oriented end of the market after the Masai Mara established the brand among North American hunters.
