Overview
The Rideout Arsenal Dragon is a competition-oriented 9x19mm pistol unveiled at SHOT Show 2026 that radically rethinks the modern handgun. It uses a lever-delayed blowback action with a fixed barrel and an exceptionally low bore axis, with the bore sitting below the grip spur, reducing muzzle rise to roughly 5 degrees versus around 15 degrees on a conventional 9mm. A non-reciprocating optics carrier keeps the mounted red dot stationary during the firing cycle for easier sight tracking.

Background
The Dragon's bore axis is so low that the barrel actually sits below the web of the shooter's hand, a design choice meant to all but eliminate the muzzle flip that competition shooters fight on every follow-up shot.
