Overview

The Riley Defense RAK47-BFPU is a Cerakote 'battlefield pickup' finish variant of the company's AKM-pattern rifle in 7.62x39mm. It pairs modified solid teak wood furniture with a Cerakote finish designed to mimic a worn, battle-used appearance and ships with a Cerakote-finished 30-round steel magazine. Mechanically it is a standard Riley build: mil-spec stamped receiver, forged trunnion/bolt/carrier and a 4150 nitride 16.25-inch barrel (14x1 LH thread).

Background

Riley Defense builds AK-pattern rifles entirely in the United States from its facility in Fountain Valley, California - a rarity in a market long dominated by imported and surplus-built Kalashnikovs - using forged trunnions, bolts and carriers and fully heat-treated mil-spec receivers.
