Overview

The Rizzini Round Body EL is an Italian over/under break-action shotgun built by Battista Rizzini of the Val Trompia gunmaking district near Brescia. It is built on a low-profile anodized-steel round-body boxlock frame and pairs automatic ejectors and a single selective trigger with chrome-lined barrels, a solid rib and five flush nickel-coated choke tubes. The EL grade is finished with Grade 3 Turkish walnut, a Prince of Wales grip and 26-LPI checkering, and the receiver carries round-body ornamental scroll engraving with a gold-inlaid game scene over a coin or case-hardened finish. Offered in 12, 16, 20, 28 gauge and .410 bore, the light 12-gauge gun weighs about 7 pounds and is used as an upland and game shotgun.

Background

Battista Rizzini founded his firm in 1966 in the Val Trompia valley near Brescia, the historic heart of Italian fine-gun craftsmanship, and the round-body profile that names this model is prized for the way its rounded receiver blends visually into the stock.
