Overview
The RMB-93 is a Russian pump-action combat shotgun chambered in 12 gauge, developed by the KBP Instrument Design Bureau in Tula. It uses an unusual 'inverted cycle' slide action in which the barrel slides forward to cycle the action, fed from a six-round tubular magazine mounted over the barrel and loaded through a flip-up cover on top of the receiver. Conceived for special forces and police close-quarters battle, it features a side-folding stock, ambidextrous safety levers, and a double-action-only trigger.

Notes
The over-barrel magazine layout is conceptually similar to the South African Neostead shotgun. A civilian hunting variant, the RMO-93 'Rys' (Lynx), was offered for the security and sporting markets.
Background
Developed in the early 1990s by TsKIB SOO (the Central Design Bureau for Sporting and Hunting Arms) in Tula, the RMB-93 was designed as a compact close-quarters weapon whose forward-sliding barrel and over-barrel magazine kept overall length short for a six-round 12-gauge shotgun.
