Overview

The Rossi RM64 is a full-sized double-action/single-action revolver chambered in .357 Magnum, manufactured by the Brazilian firearms maker Rossi. Part of Rossi's RM series of steel-framed defensive and range revolvers, the RM64 carries six rounds in a swing-out cylinder and is built around a solid carbon-steel frame with a blued finish and a 4-inch full-underlug barrel. Its traditional DA/SA trigger allows both a long double-action pull for rapid defensive shooting and a lighter single-action pull for deliberate, accurate fire, while a transfer-bar safety permits carrying all six chambers loaded. Chambered for .357 Magnum, it also fires the milder and more economical .38 Special, making it a versatile and affordable option for home defense, target practice, and general recreational shooting.

Background

Rossi has been building revolvers in Sao Leopoldo, Brazil since 1889; the modern RM series revived the company's in-house double-action revolver line as an affordable American-market alternative to the long-established Smith & Wesson and Ruger .357 Magnum wheelguns.
