Overview

The Rossi RM84 is an eight-shot double-action/single-action revolver chambered in .22 Long Rifle, manufactured by the Brazilian company Rossi (Amadeo Rossi / Braztech). Built around a swing-out cylinder that holds eight rounds of the economical .22 LR rimfire cartridge, it is aimed at recreational plinking, small-game hunting, and low-cost training. The RM84 carries a four-inch barrel, a black finish, and black rubber grips for a secure hold, with an exposed hammer allowing either a long double-action pull or a lighter single-action shot after manually cocking. Fixed sights and a serrated front blade keep the layout simple and rugged, while the high eight-round capacity and negligible recoil of the .22 LR make it an approachable range and field revolver.

Weight and overall length not confirmed from a manufacturer spec sheet.

Background

Rossi has built firearms in Brazil since 1889, and its rimfire revolvers like the RM84 pack eight rounds of .22 LR into a swing-out cylinder - two more than the classic six-gun - making a single loading last noticeably longer at the range.
