The EC9s replaced the LC9s as Ruger's entry-level concealed carry 9mm. The key cost savings come from integral sights (machined into the slide rather than separately installed dovetail sights) and simplified finishing. MSRP of $299 made it one of the most affordable name-brand 9mm concealed carry pistols. The pistol accepts LC9 and LC9s magazines. Not optics-ready. Discontinued by Ruger in some markets as the Max-9 and newer LCP Max gained popularity.
