Notes

The Security-9 uses a protected internal hammer with a bladed-safety trigger rather than a traditional striker-fired mechanism. The aluminum chassis provides structural rigidity within the lightweight polymer frame. MSRP of approximately $389 makes it one of the most affordable full-size 9mm pistols. Not available in California or Massachusetts.

Background

The Security-9 revived Ruger's iconic 'Security' brand name, originally used on their classic Security-Six revolver from the 1970s. Its internal aluminum chassis within a polymer frame was an innovative approach to providing structural rigidity at a budget price point, making it one of the most affordable name-brand 9mm pistols available.
