Overview
The Sako TRG-21 is a Finnish bolt-action sniper rifle introduced in 1989 by Sako Ltd. and chambered in .308 Winchester. It uses a resin-based composite stock aluminium-bedded to the receiver, a heavy cold-hammer-forged match-grade barrel, an adjustable two-stage trigger and a bolt with three massive front locking lugs. Renowned for its world-class accuracy and durability, it was widely adopted by European police and counter-terrorism units before being superseded by the improved TRG-22 in 1999.

Notes
The TRG-21 was replaced by the TRG-22, which introduced revised stock contours and internal refinements. The magnum-caliber counterpart on the same platform is the TRG-41 (later TRG-42).
