Overview
The Sarsilmaz CM9 (Combat Master 9mm) is a full-size, hammer-fired DA/SA semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum, manufactured by Turkish firearms maker Sarsilmaz. Featuring a forged steel slide, polymer frame, and high-capacity 17+1 magazine, the CM9 was designed as a duty-class service pistol blending traditional double-action/single-action ergonomics with modern features such as interchangeable backstraps, an accessory rail, and ambidextrous controls. The CM9 leverages Sarsilmaz's century-plus heritage in firearms manufacturing - the company, founded in 1880, is among the oldest continuously operating firearms producers in the world. Imported into the United States by SAR USA, the CM9 has positioned itself as a value-priced alternative to mainstream European duty pistols, offering full-size capacity and feature parity at a competitive price point.

Background
Sarsilmaz traces its founding to 1880 in the Ottoman Empire, making it one of the world's oldest continuously operating firearms manufacturers - older than companies like Glock, SIG Sauer, and FN Herstal. The 'Combat Master' line was developed to compete with budget-tier duty pistols from CZ, Glock, and Smith & Wesson by leveraging Turkey's growing reputation as a value firearms manufacturer.
