Overview
The SAUER 202 is a modular bolt-action hunting rifle produced by J.P. Sauer & Sohn from 1993 to 2015. Its defining feature is a tool-changeable barrel system that lets the user swap barrels and switch calibers using a hex key, supported by a six-lug rotating bolt and a manual cocking safety. Offered with either a steel or lighter aluminum receiver and an extensive caliber lineup, it became one of Sauer's flagship premium European hunting rifles before being replaced by the SAUER 404.
