Overview
The Savage 110 Bear Hunter is an American bolt-action centerfire hunting rifle built on Savage's long-running Model 110 action and marketed as part of the Backcountry Xtreme series. Chambered for hard-hitting magnum cartridges including .300 Winchester Magnum, .300 WSM, .338 Winchester Magnum and 7mm Remington Magnum, it pairs a straight-fluted, button-rifled stainless barrel with an adjustable muzzle brake to tame the recoil of big-game loads. It features the user-adjustable AccuTrigger, the bedding-block AccuStock system and the AccuFit stock that lets shooters tune length of pull and comb height, all wrapped in a Mossy Oak Break-Up Country synthetic stock. Designed for guides and hunters pursuing large, dangerous North American game such as bear, moose and elk, the rifle feeds two or three rounds from an internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate.

Notes
The 110 Bear Hunter uses a 9/16x28 threaded muzzle fitted with an adjustable brake. The AccuFit system ships with interchangeable comb risers and length-of-pull spacers so the stock can be fitted to the shooter (12.75 to 13.75 inches). Barrel length is 23 inches on the standard magnum chamberings. The rifle has since been discontinued as Savage rotated the Backcountry Xtreme lineup.
Background
Named for the dangerous game it was built to face, the 110 Bear Hunter carried Savage's reputation for value-priced accuracy into the guide-gun niche. By stacking the adjustable AccuTrigger, the AccuStock bedding system and the fit-to-shooter AccuFit stock onto a stainless magnum barrel with a recoil-taming brake, Savage offered backcountry hunters a purpose-built magnum rifle for bear, moose and elk at a working hunter's price.
