Schultz & Larsen Ambassador
Schultz & Larsen Geværfabrik A/S · Rifle · In Production
Also known as: S&L Ambassador
Overview
The Schultz & Larsen Ambassador is a Danish bolt-action hunting and sporting rifle built on the Otterup maker's modular switch-barrel action, featuring a three-lug bolt with a 60-degree bolt throw and a three-position safety. It is the traditionally-styled, high-gloss member of the Schultz & Larsen range, fitted with a grade-selected oil- or gloss-finished walnut stock and one of the firm's heat-treated, cut-rifled and hand-lapped barrels. Chambered in a wide choice of standard and magnum calibers such as .308 Winchester, .30-06 Springfield, 6.5x55mm and .300 Winchester Magnum, it feeds from a detachable three- or five-round magazine and is prized by European hunters for its accuracy and fine finish.

Background
Schultz & Larsen has made cut-rifled barrels in Otterup, Denmark since 1919; the firm's target barrels earned such a reputation that Roy Weatherby chose them for early .378 Weatherby Magnum rifles in the 1950s, and that same barrel-making pedigree carries through to the Ambassador.
