Schultz & Larsen Classic DL

Schultz & Larsen Geværfabrik A/S · Rifle · In Production

Also known as: Classic G2 DL, S&L Classic DL

Overview

The Schultz & Larsen Classic DL is a Danish bolt-action hunting rifle built as the company's rugged everyday 'working rifle'. Its receiver and key parts are machined from solid steel bar, and it uses a three-lug, low-lift bolt with a short 60-degree throw that locks directly into the interchangeable barrel. Like other Schultz & Larsen rifles it employs a switch-barrel design, letting a single rifle body run barrels of different calibres, and it wears the company's cut-rifled, stress-relieved match-grade barrel. The DL grade is fitted with a high-quality walnut stock, feeds from an all-steel three-round in-line detachable magazine, and is offered in a broad range of chamberings from 6.5 Creedmoor and 6.5x55 to .308 Winchester and .270 Winchester.

Notes

'DL' denotes the de-luxe walnut-stocked grade of the Classic; wood upgrades in grades 1 through 5 are offered. The G2 revision is marketed as the second-generation Classic. Barrels can be swapped within a calibre group with a simple wrench, while switching to magnum chamberings also requires a bolt change.

Background

Schultz & Larsen earned its reputation making the match-grade cut-rifled barrels and target rifles that carried Danish and Scandinavian shooters to international competition success; the Classic carries that barrel pedigree into a switch-barrel hunting rifle you can rebuild for a new calibre with a wrench.
