Overview
The Schultz & Larsen M68 is a Danish bolt-action sporting rifle produced at the Otterup factory from 1967 to 1970. It is built on the company's distinctive multi-lug rear-locking bolt action, where the locking lugs sit at the rear of the bolt and engage the receiver rather than the barrel, a design valued for accuracy and chambered for cartridges such as the .30-06 Springfield. The premium M68DL (Deluxe) variant is widely regarded as the finest hunting rifle ever made by Schultz & Larsen.

Notes
Fed by a single-column three-round detachable magazine released by a button ahead of the trigger guard. Only around 1,800 rifles were built before high production costs ended the line. Offered in a range of chamberings including .30-06 Springfield, .308 Winchester, .243 Winchester and magnum calibers.
Background
Schultz & Larsen built its reputation on precision target rifles, including the M52 used in Olympic-level competition, and carried that match-rifle pedigree into the M68 sporting line. The rear-locking action descended from the firm's match guns made between 1938 and 1970.
