Shadow Systems CR920P Elite
Shadow Systems · Pistol · In Production · 2024
Also known as: CR920P Elite, CR920P
Overview
The Shadow Systems CR920P Elite is a compensated subcompact striker-fired semi-automatic pistol designed for concealed carry. An evolution of the CR920 platform, the CR920P adds an integrated single-port steel compensator to reduce muzzle rise and improve shot-to-shot recovery. Chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum, it features a 3.75-inch spiral-fluted barrel made from 416R stainless steel, available in bronze TiCN or black nitride finishes. The Elite variant includes the patented Shadow Systems multi-footprint optic cut on the 17-4 stainless steel slide, allowing direct mounting of micro red dots from Shield, Holosun, Trijicon, and others without adapter plates. The slide also features directional topside serrations and a weight-optimizing window cut. At 20 ounces, the CR920P Elite maintains compatibility with Glock 43X holsters despite its compensator, making it a practical upgrade for those already invested in the G43X ecosystem. It ships with a 10+1 flush-fit magazine and a 13+1 extended magazine, along with a tritium front night sight and black square-notch rear sight.

Notes
Shadow Systems was founded in Plano, Texas and has built its reputation on enhanced Glock-compatible pistols. The CR920P Elite uses Glock-pattern magazines and maintains dimensional compatibility with Glock 43X holsters despite the integrated compensator. The 'P' designation indicates the ported/compensated variant. The barrel features a tri-lug system for reliable lockup. The Elite tier adds the multi-footprint optic cut, directional serrations, and window cut over the base Foundation model. MSRP at launch was approximately $1,046. The pistol's aggressive grip texturing and undercut trigger guard are designed to maximize purchase on the small frame during rapid fire.
Background
Shadow Systems carved out a niche by building what many consider the Glock that Glock should have made. The CR920 series brought their philosophy to the subcompact segment, competing directly with the SIG P365 and Springfield Hellcat while maintaining Glock ecosystem compatibility. The CR920P variant pushed the envelope further by integrating a compensator into a subcompact package without sacrificing holster compatibility, addressing the growing demand for recoil-mitigated carry pistols.
