SIG P210 Legend
SIG Sauer · Pistol · Discontinued · 2010
Also known as: SIG Sauer P210 Legend, P210 Legend, 210-9-Legend
Overview
The SIG P210 Legend is a single-action semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum, produced by SIG Sauer's German operation from 2010 as a modernized revival of the legendary Swiss P210 service pistol. It retains the P210's defining internal slide-rail architecture, in which the slide rides inside the frame rather than outside, a layout credited for the pistol's exceptional accuracy. The Legend pairs a machined stainless steel slide with a heavy carbon-steel frame, both Nitron-coated, an improved external manual safety, an internal drop safety and a side-mounted magazine release. Fed by an 8-round detachable box magazine and fitted with custom wood grips and a crisp target-grade single-action trigger, the 120mm (4.7-inch) barreled pistol is designed for precision shooting and cocked-and-locked carry, continuing the reputation of the original as one of the finest production handguns ever built.

Notes
The P210 Legend was manufactured by SIG Sauer GmbH in Eckernfoerde, Germany, and imported into the United States beginning around 2011 as the model 210-9-Legend. It reintroduced the classic Swiss P210 with several ergonomic updates: a redesigned frame and grip, an enlarged and relocated (side) magazine release, an improved manual safety and updated sights. The Legend line included the standard Legend and a Legend Target model with adjustable target sights. It was later superseded by the American-made SIG Sauer P210 (Standard/Target) introduced in 2017-2018.
Background
The original P210 has long been nicknamed the 'Rolls-Royce of pistols' for its faultless fit, finish and accuracy. The Legend was SIG Sauer's attempt to bring that heritage into the modern commercial market with refined ergonomics while preserving the internal slide-rail design and hand-fitted feel that made the Swiss original a benchmark for precision handguns.
