Also known as: SIG CROSS PRS, CROSS PRS Competition
Overview
The Sig Sauer CROSS PRS is a purpose-built precision rifle competition variant of the CROSS platform, designed from the ground up for Precision Rifle Series (PRS) and NRL competition. At 13.5 lbs, it is substantially heavier than the standard CROSS, with the added weight deliberately distributed to enhance stability during precision shooting. The rifle features a 24-inch heavy-contour stainless steel barrel with 5R rifling, an 18-inch free-floating M-LOK handguard with a removable steel ARCA rail for tripod and bipod compatibility, and a steel folding precision-adjustable stock with customizable length of pull and cheek comb height. The weighted PRS grip with ambidextrous thumb rest provides ergonomic control in any shooting position.

Notes
The CROSS PRS represents a significant departure from the original lightweight hunting-focused CROSS, adding nearly 7 lbs to create a competition-oriented platform. The heavy-contour barrel measures 0.9 inches at the muzzle for enhanced thermal stability during strings of fire. The all-steel construction of the stock and chassis contributes to the rifle's competition-friendly weight. The two-stage match trigger is adjustable. AICS-compatible magazines allow use of widely available Magpul PMAG and other aftermarket magazines.
Background
The CROSS PRS was SIG Sauer's answer to the booming precision rifle competition scene, transforming their lightweight hunting bolt-action into a 13.5-pound competition machine that demonstrates the versatility of the CROSS platform's modular architecture.
