The SIG Sauer P320 XFive Legion is a competition-grade, full-size striker-fired pistol built on the modular P320 platform. Introduced in 2019 and awarded the NRA's 2020 Handgun of the Year, the XFive Legion represents SIG Sauer's premier competition pistol, purpose-built for USPSA Carry Optics, IDPA, and action shooting disciplines. Chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum with 17+1 capacity, the pistol features a 5-inch bull barrel that delivers exceptional accuracy with a 6.8-inch sight radius. The defining feature is the TXG (Tungsten-infused X Grip) module, which adds significant weight to the grip - bringing the total unloaded weight to 43.5 ounces - dramatically reducing muzzle flip by up to 50% compared to standard polymer-framed P320 variants. The P320 XFive Legion was introduced in 2019 and won the NRA's Golden Bullseye Award for 2020 Handgun of the Year. The TXG grip module uses tungsten powder infused into the polymer, adding approximately 6 ounces compared to a standard polymer grip module, which fundamentally changes the pistol's balance and recoil characteristics by lowering the center of gravity. The 5-inch bull barrel is thicker at the muzzle than a standard barrel, improving accuracy and providing a consistent lockup. The upgraded recoil system with the solid steel guide rod and heavier spring provides a smoother cycling action and reduces felt recoil. The Legion Gray PVD finish is exclusive to SIG's premium Legion line. The XFive Legion does not offer a manual safety variant. An updated R2 version was released with an improved optics mounting system.
