SIG Sauer P365XL Spectre Comp

SIG Sauer · Pistol · In Production · 2022

Also known as: P365XL Spectre Comp, P365-XL Spectre Comp

Overview

The SIG Sauer P365XL Spectre Comp is a premium compensated variant from SIG's Custom Works division, combining the P365XL slide length with an integrated compensator machined directly into the slide assembly. The compensator reduces muzzle flip by up to 30 percent, allowing faster follow-up shots without the bulk or reliability concerns of aftermarket compensator attachments. The Spectre treatment includes a laser-stippled LXG (Laser X Grip) polymer grip module with an aggressive yet stylish texture pattern applied to all four sides, and the Custom Works Spectre slide features exclusive X-pattern engraving, lightning cuts, and graduated serrations. A Titanium Nitride (TiN) gold flat-face trigger and matching gold barrel provide distinctive visual accents against the Nitron-finished slide. XRAY3 day/night sights are standard, and the optic-ready slide accepts compact micro red dot sights. The P365XL Spectre Comp ships with two 12-round steel magazines and positions itself as a premium concealable carry pistol that delivers enhanced shootability through its integrated compensator system.

Notes

The integrated compensator design is a key differentiator - because the compensator is machined as part of the slide rather than threaded onto the barrel, it cannot loosen or cause malfunctions. The 3.1-inch barrel sits within the longer 6.6-inch overall length, with the compensator occupying the additional slide length beyond the muzzle. The LXG grip module uses laser engraving rather than traditional stippling, creating a consistent and repeatable texture. The Spectre line represents SIG's Custom Works premium tier, sitting above standard production models in both finish quality and price point. The stainless steel frame under the LXG grip module adds mass for improved recoil control compared to pure polymer frames.

Background

The Spectre series represents SIG Sauer Custom Works' vision of a premium carry pistol line. The P365XL Spectre Comp was one of the first production pistols to feature a factory-integrated compensator in the micro-compact class, proving that compensated carry guns could be reliable enough for everyday carry without the drawbacks of aftermarket compensators. The gold TiN accents became a signature of the Spectre line, making it instantly recognizable on the range.
