Overview
The SIONICS Patrol Rifle Three is a duty-oriented AR-15 carbine built by SIONICS Weapon Systems of Tucson, Arizona, aimed primarily at law enforcement patrol and civilian defensive use. It is built on a forged 7075-T6 aluminum upper and lower receiver set and centers on a 16-inch SIONICS Premium Barrel: a medium-contour, 41V50 steel, chrome-lined, air-gauged barrel with a NATO chamber and 1:8 twist, mated to a mid-length direct-impingement gas system. The rifle features a SIONICS free-floating M-LOK handguard (offered in 14.125-inch or 15-inch lengths), a phosphate-coated bolt carrier group (upgradeable to NP3), an enhanced mil-spec trigger (upgradeable to a two-stage), a Radian Raptor ambidextrous charging handle, an H-buffer with a Sprinco spring, and Magpul MOE SL furniture. Each barrel is radiographically and magnetic-particle inspected, reflecting SIONICS' emphasis on durability and consistency for hard-use deployment.

Notes
The Patrol Rifle Three is highly configurable: customers select handguard length, BCG coating (phosphate or NP3), trigger (mil-spec or two-stage), and receiver extension (mil-spec or VLTOR A5). Ships with one Magpul PMAG 30-round magazine and a rifle bag. The Three XL adds an extended handguard; the Three-E is the economy build; SBR variants use 14.8-inch barrels. Specifications reflect the base 16-inch Patrol Rifle Three. The current SIONICS Weapon Systems is unrelated to the 1960s SIONICS suppressor company beyond the name.
Background
SIONICS Weapon Systems revived the historic SIONICS name (originally a 1960s suppressor maker associated with the MAC submachine guns) and applied it to a line of meticulously assembled, law-enforcement-grade AR-15 rifles. The Patrol Rifle Three line built a strong reputation in online firearms communities and among agencies for offering chrome-lined, air-gauged barrels and hand-assembled quality control at a mid-tier price.
