The Smith & Wesson Performance Center M&P 9 Shield Plus Carry Comp is a micro-compact, striker-fired semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm that integrates Smith & Wesson's Carry Comp compensator technology directly into the barrel and slide. The 4-inch (102mm) ported barrel features a single PowerPort that diverts propellant gases upward through a matched port in the slide, reducing felt recoil and muzzle rise without adding external length or requiring a threaded barrel adapter. The ClearSight slide cut diverts gases away from the optic mounting area, keeping a mounted red dot sight clear of fouling.
