Overview
The Smith & Wesson M&P9 2.0 is a full-size, polymer-framed, striker-fired semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum. Introduced in 2017 as the second generation of the Military & Police line originally launched in 2005, the M2.0 features an extended steel chassis embedded within the polymer frame for enhanced rigidity and accuracy, an aggressive grip texture covering all surfaces, a refined trigger with a lighter pull weight of approximately 4.8 pounds and a crisp tactile reset, and four interchangeable palmswell inserts for customizable hand fit. The pistol features a low bore axis with a distinctive 18-degree grip angle to reduce perceived recoil and speed target reacquisition. The 4.25-inch stainless steel barrel and slide are treated with Smith & Wesson's proprietary Armornite corrosion-resistant finish. Standard capacity is 17+1 rounds.
