Overview

The SOLGW MK1 Recce is the 14.5-inch rifle-length sibling of the MK1 CAR, sharing the same billet receiver set, MK1 handguard, titanium barrel nut, NP3-coated bolt carrier group, A5 buffer system, Liberty 2-stage trigger, and ambidextrous Badger selector. Its 14.5-inch medium-contour 'Recce' P3 barrel with 3-groove polygonal rifling runs a mid-length gas system and a pinned-and-welded HUXWRX muzzle device to meet the 16-inch overall barrel-length requirement. It ships with a B5 grip and Magpul DT-PR stock. Offered in anodized black, anodized gray, and Cerakote MK1 camo finishes.

Background

Where the MK1 CAR is the close-quarters carbine, the MK1 Recce extends the platform's reach for the reconnaissance and general-purpose roles that originally defined the AR-15 'Recce' concept.
