Notes

The Model 2020 platform was Springfield Armory's first bolt-action rifle, marking the company's entry into the precision rifle market after decades of semi-automatic pistol and rifle production. The Waypoint is available in multiple camo patterns (Ridgeline, Evergreen) and with either steel or carbon fiber barrels. The carbon fiber barrel option reduces weight by approximately 8 ounces. The TriggerTech trigger is adjustable from 2.5 to 5 pounds. Springfield Armory offers an industry-leading .75 MOA three-shot group accuracy guarantee at 100 yards. MSRP ranges from approximately $1,700-$2,200.

Background

Springfield Armory surprised the firearms industry by entering the bolt-action precision rifle market after over 40 years focused on semi-automatic platforms, and the Waypoint's .75 MOA guarantee immediately positioned it as a serious competitor in the lightweight precision hunting category.
