Overview
The Springfield Armory Kuna is a 9mm pistol-caliber firearm introduced in 2024, built around an MP5-style roller-delayed blowback operating system that delivers notably soft, flat recoil for the cartridge. It uses a monolithic aluminum upper receiver with an integral M-LOK handguard and a glass-filled polymer lower with AR-pattern controls. The 6-inch cold hammer-forged barrel is threaded 1/2x28 and fitted with a multi-port muzzle brake. Fully ambidextrous controls, a non-reciprocating reversible charging handle, hybrid flip-up sights, and a 30-round translucent magazine round out the package. It ships in braced and non-braced configurations.
