Overview
The Springfield SA-35 4" is a compact version of Springfield Armory's modernised Browning Hi-Power, chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum. It trims the barrel to 4 inches and the overall length to 7.1 inches while retaining the full-size 15-round magazine, a forged steel frame and slide, checkered walnut grips and a single-action hammer-fired lockwork with no magazine disconnect.

Background
Browning died in 1926 before finishing the Hi-Power; Dieudonne Saive completed it. A century later Springfield is still cutting inches off the same design to chase the concealed-carry market.
