Overview

The Springfield SAINT Victor 5.56 Pistol is a compact AR-15-pattern pistol chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO with an 11.5-inch chrome-moly-vanadium (CMV) Melonite barrel and a 1:7 twist. It runs a carbine-length direct-impingement gas system with a low-profile pinned gas block, forged 7075-T6 aluminum upper and lower receivers, an aluminum free-float M-LOK handguard with a full-length top rail, a nickel-boron-coated flat trigger, and an A2 flash hider. In place of a rifle stock it uses an SB Tactical SBA3 adjustable pistol stabilizing brace, and it ships with flip-up sights and a 30-round Magpul PMAG.

Distinct from the SAINT Victor .308 rifle. The 11.5-inch 5.56 pistol is also offered in an updated V2 configuration. Manufacturer lists overall length as 27.5 to 30.75 inches with the brace collapsed/extended.

Background

Springfield built a short-barreled 5.56 AR around a pistol brace instead of a stock, sidestepping NFA short-barreled-rifle paperwork to deliver near-SBR ballistics in a handgun-classified package.
